X2 is the follow up to the XQZ ME released in February 2022. This EP features three songs:

1) X2 - X2, the EP title track, is a global music inspired club track ridden with a spell out of the XQZ ME name. The hand drums and the vocals featured in this song were recorded live by XQZ ME himself, reminiscent of the three years he performed in his university's African Drumming ensemble.

2) CONSEQUENCE - The lead single of the EP, this track is a straightforward dance track, originally laid out as a vogue DJ tool. I couldn't let this track not shine in a more special and fun way than a tool. This track explores vogue percussion, nostalgic rave sounds and club thumping kicks.

3) JAMIE - The bonus track on this EP, sampling Jamie XX's Gosh from the brilliant album, "In Colour". After hearing the track, I knew I had to do something with it. Setting the melodic beauty of the track to the side, the vocal sample was screaming to be flipped into a club ready, surprise, heavy weapon of a track.

The goal of X2 is to not only celebrate one year of XQZ ME but to honor the amount of fun I've been having in making these tracks. Not only has the emergence of XQZ ME been fun to create, but it has continued to allow me to explore the depths of the songs I wish to create and how I wish to express myself, artistically. <3x
